A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Marcos is fluent and conducts business in Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian as well as English. He knows the importance of 'speaking your customer's language,' just as he did in his first job in New York trying to lure passersby into an electronics store. Marcos moved to New York City in 1987 and joined Elliman in 1994. He has been a consistent top-producer ever since. The recent upswing in Brazilian buyers in the marketplace helped catapult his position as a company leader, and grew his international clientele to comprise half of his business.
